Privacy Policy
FOUND helps you find clothes you saw in a video. We collect as little as we can to do that. You need an account to analyse your own Reels and videos (the demo works without one). There are no ads and no third-party tracking.
What we process
- Your account. You sign in with your mobile number: we text you a one-time code. We keep your phone number, a sign-in ID from Firebase Authentication, and when you last signed in. We use these only to sign you in, keep your results private to you, and limit how much each account can run.
- Video frames you choose to upload. Your video stays on your phone. FOUND picks up to 12 still frames on your device and uploads only those. We delete frames we don't need as soon as the analysis finishes. We keep the frames shown in your results for up to 24 hours, then delete them.
- Reel links you share or paste. To analyse a public Reel, we look up its public video through a third-party service (Apify). Your phone then reads a few still frames from it, and only those frames are uploaded. We don't store the video, and we never see or use your Instagram account.
- Analysis results: the outfits and items we detected and the products we matched.
- A random device identifier created by the app, so you can try the demo without an account. When you sign in, the analyses made on that device move to your account. It's never linked to your advertising ID.
- Your IP address, used only to stop abuse. We store just a salted one-way hash of it, which can't be turned back into your IP.
Your history of analysed Reels is also saved on your device. You can clear it at any time in the app.
How we use it
We use this information only to analyse what you send, show you matching products, keep the service reliable and prevent abuse. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't build profiles about you.
Who processes it for us
- Google Firebase Authentication verifies your phone number by sending the SMS code, and stores your sign-in details.
- Apify looks up public Reels from the links you share. It receives only the Reel's public link.
- Cloudflare hosts the service, stores uploaded frames temporarily and runs the AI models that analyse them (Workers AI).
- Our database provider stores analysis results.
- SerpApi runs our store searches on Google Shopping and Google Lens. It receives a short text description of each detected item (for example “women's camel suede jacket”) and, for the visual search, a temporary link to the one still frame that shows that look, so Google can find visually similar products. It never receives your device ID or IP address. The frame link stops working when we delete the frame (within 24 hours).
- If we switch AI providers, frames are processed under that provider's terms for this purpose only.
Stores and affiliate links
When you open a product, you go to the retailer's own website, and their privacy policy applies there. Product links may include affiliate tracking. If you buy something, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Your choices
- Delete your account: in the app, tap your profile on the Home screen, then “Delete account”. This permanently deletes your account, your analyses, results and any uploaded frames. You can also ask us by email, see how to delete your account.
- Delete data without an account: open History and tap “Delete my data”.
- We keep your account and analyses until you delete them.
Children
FOUND isn't directed at children under 13. If you're under 18, please use FOUND with permission from a parent or guardian.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted to the systems that run FOUND.
